These Terms & Conditions govern your use of LucentPay™ Ltd’s services. By using this website or purchasing any plan, you agree to the terms outlined below.

1. Who We Are

LucentPay™ Ltd is a UK-registered company (Company No. 16576276) offering a business payment facilitation platform. We enable verified users to make card-based payments, including with American Express®, to suppliers who only accept bank transfers. Our registered office is Treguddick Manor, South Petherwin, Launceston, PL15 7JN.

2. Regulatory Status

LucentPay™ Ltd is not a bank, e-money institution (EMI), or financial services provider. We do not hold client funds, issue payment instruments, or operate a wallet. All card processing is handled by Stripe, and payments are remitted per transaction via an external payment partner. We are not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).

3. Our Services

  • Invoice verification and anti-fraud checks for eligible UK business transactions
  • Stripe-based card payment processing for verified suppliers and HMRC
  • Same-day remittance from LucentPay’s corporate account to the beneficiary’s bank account (subject to KYC approval)

4. Eligibility

Users must be aged 18+, reside in the UK, and act on behalf of a business or sole trader. LucentPay is for lawful business-to-business (B2B) transactions only. We do not support personal remittances, gambling, cryptocurrency purchases, or peer-to-peer transfers.

5. Know Your Customer (KYC)

All users must complete identity verification and provide evidence of the underlying transaction (e.g., invoice or tax notice). We reserve the right to reject or delay any payment pending compliance review. KYC approval is required before any funds are remitted.

6. Payments & Charges

  • Card payments are processed via Stripe’s secure payment infrastructure
  • Standard Plan: £0/year with a 6% transaction fee
  • Pro Plan: £95/year with a 5% transaction fee and enhanced limits
  • Pro Plan is billed annually and is non-refundable once activated

7. Refunds & Chargebacks

Payments are final once remitted to the supplier. Refunds are only possible if the request is received before payout execution. Chargebacks made without valid cause may result in permanent account suspension and reporting to card issuers.

8. Use of Platform

LucentPay™ may only be used for legitimate supplier payments. You must ensure invoices are valid and the beneficiary is genuine. We do not allow use for personal transfers, self-payments, gift cards, wallet top-ups, or any activity deemed cash-equivalent by card issuers.

9. Data Protection

We are registered with the ICO (Ref. ICO:00010800337) and comply with UK GDPR. Your personal data is used strictly for payment facilitation, compliance checks, and customer support. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

10. Liability

LucentPay™ Ltd acts solely as a facilitator. We are not responsible for supplier conduct, payment delays, banking errors, or card declines. Once a payment is authorised and released to the beneficiary, it cannot be reversed. We accept no liability for lost funds due to incorrect payment details provided by the user.

11. Modifications

We may amend these terms at any time. Material updates will be posted on our website or sent by email. Your continued use of LucentPay™ indicates acceptance of the current version of these terms.
